We cannot close the site completely and do all the work in one
go due to the disruption that this would cause. This means that
we are doing it in a sequence of ‘mini-projects’ over a
period of five years. Where possible these have been timed to take
place during the low season.

- Reversed visitor flow through museum
- New stairs down from lift shaft to lower museum
- Improved display of Roman drain in lower museum
